Alf Rydberg's late challenge caught a Vastarinta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alf Rydberg helped the player get up and apologised. Alf Rydberg kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Dåsens IF booed when Vastarinta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kustaa Pihlainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vastarinta's Sid Mayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Rosén in the 17th minute of play. Sid Mayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Rosén, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Vuorio in the 23rd minute of play forced Dåsens IF's goalkeeper Jostein Sølvberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vastarinta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Torsten Hultman 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Edgar Rosén was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Dåsens IF's zone, Antti Paajanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jostein Sølvberg came out of the goal and Antti Paajanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Dåsens IF booed when Vastarinta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ukko Nutikka didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes, Vastarinta's Kustaa Pihlainen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jostein Sølvberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vastarinta reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Rosén during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sami Vuorio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sami Vuorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jostein Sølvberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sid Mayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Hultman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsten Hultman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sid Mayo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Vuorio in the 65th minute of play forced Dåsens IF's goalkeeper Jostein Sølvberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vastarinta's Sami Vuorio in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dåsens IF's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Vastarinta's Keimo Välimäki got a free kick in the 69th minute. Sven-Oskar Salkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Vastarinta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sami Vuorio to maneuver through the defense. When Sami Vuorio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Vastarinta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sami Vuorio couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Dåsens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvin Ugla to maneuver through the defense. Teemu Hartikainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dåsens IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
